CANopen diagnostics for machinery
A read of one CANopen node that writes nothing: state, emergencies and identity.

- Connect the ECO-LITE unit to the machine's CANopen bus, with the pinout documented by the manufacturer.
- Tick “CANopen diagnostics for machinery” and choose the connection (CAN 6/14 or 3/11), the bit rate (125, 250, 500 or 1000 kbit/s) and the node number (1 to 127).
- The unit listens to the bus for a moment (node state and emergencies) and then reads standard objects only: device type, error register, manufacturer identity and error history (up to 8 entries).
- Check the result: node state (heartbeat), emergencies with their last frame and, for each object, whether it was read, rejected by the node or not answered.
- It is read only: it does not clear the history, does not change the node state and sends no motion commands. That is why it cannot be combined with “Clear faults” or with automatic diagnosis.
- The result does not certify that the machine is fault-free: many machines keep their codes in manufacturer objects that this read does not interpret.
- SDO abort codes are shown as they are (for example, 0x6020000: the object does not exist on that node).
- The report carries the mandatory mark with the tool's name, like any other read.
