Authorizing a PC for PassThru
Why each computer has to be authorized, who can do it, how many PCs each unit accepts and how to remove one.

So that nobody can use your ECO-LITE TOOL, ECOPRO Gen4 or ECO-LITE with a copy of the software, the unit only pairs with computers the platform has authorized. The authorization is for that unit and that computer, lasts 12 months and renews itself when the computer is online.
- Arm the unit's PassThru mode (button for 2 to 5 seconds) and press “Pair” in the installer or in ecolite-pt-config.
- The computer shows a code such as ABCD-EFGH and opens this platform. Sign in with the organization that owns the unit.
- Check the unit, the PC name and its fingerprint, and press “Authorize this PC”. We ask for two-step verification.
- The computer receives the authorization and finishes pairing by itself.
| Who | What they can do |
|---|---|
| Owner or administrator of the organization, site manager, private owner of their unit | Authorize and remove PCs |
| Technicians | Use an already authorized PC and see the list |
- Each unit accepts up to 3 authorized PCs at a time and 2 new ones every 30 days. The Hub can change these figures per model.
- If you go over the month's new PCs, the authorization waits for the Diaglana team to approve it, at no cost.
- To change computer, remove the old one in “Authorized PCs” (or when uninstalling, ticking delete the key) and authorize the new one.
- If a laptop is lost or stolen, press “Remove”: the unit refuses it as soon as it connects to the platform.
- When the unit is transferred to another organization, all its PCs are removed.
- The owner gets a notice every time a new PC is authorized.
Tip: The first time, the computer needs internet. After that it works offline until the authorization expires.
Important: If the platform sees the same authorization used from two different computers, it marks it as a “possible copy” for you to review.
