Modern vehicle coding and programming
Six guided recipes with ECU-specific requirements and post-operation checks.

Important: These workshop templates await an OEM profile; they do not enable automatic writes in Diaglana. Coding changes configuration, adaptation records parameters and programming replaces software. CAN, CAN FD or DoIP alone does not establish support.
- Identify VIN, ECU part number, hardware, software, equipment and transport. Consult the exact OEM procedure, verify device compatibility and required power supply, and record conditions and the initial scan. Save the values and backups supported by the tool; these may not be a recoverable firmware image.
- Obtain authorization for the specific change and official access when required. VAG SFD can restrict functions depending on the unit. Never reuse codes, tokens or parameters from another ECU. Stop preparation if applicability information is missing.
Equipment coding
Save the complete coding and equipment configuration. Using the exact OEM map, change only the intended options and preserve the remainder. Apply through a compatible tool, read back coding and test each affected function. There are no universal bit positions.
Parameter adaptation
Read the parameter identifier, raw value, units and range. Check dependencies and conditions; test before saving only where the ECU supports it. Confirm, apply, read back and perform the specified functional check. Not every parameter is a writable DID.
Replacement battery registration
Confirm that registration is required and the installed battery is supported. Record technology, capacity and manufacturer-required identifiers; run the replacement procedure and check acceptance and energy-system status. Do not invent serial numbers or reset learning without replacement unless the procedure allows it.
Injector coding
Record each injector code and physical position; verify OEM format and cylinder numbering. Preserve old codes, write each code to its cylinder and read all back. Perform required learning and subsequent checks. Never transfer codes from another engine.
ECU replacement and commissioning
Check replacement part, software and parameter-set compatibility. Preserve recoverable original data. Follow OEM commissioning with authorized access where component protection or immobilizer functions require it. Check coding, adaptations, calibrations and inter-module communication; copying coding alone does not complete replacement.
OEM firmware update
Use the applicable OEM package, verify integrity and dependencies, and prepare manufacturer-defined recovery. Use the official tool and an approved interface; J2534 or DoIP alone does not establish compatibility. Maintain power and communication throughout. Verify final version, coding, DTCs and operation. The current executor does not support flashing: no erase or download commands are generated.
Important: If communication is lost during a write, record an indeterminate outcome; do not automatically retry or restore. Follow OEM recovery. Close only after read-back and functional checks, retaining versions, changes, outcome and documentary references.
