Fleet remote diagnostics: decide before you take a vehicle off the road
Fleet remote diagnostics lets your trusted workshop read a vehicle remotely when something goes wrong, to decide whether it can carry on, whether a service function is enough or whether it has to come in, with each vehicle's history in the same account.

When you need it
- A warning light comes on during a trip and you need to know whether the vehicle can carry on
- You want to check vehicles before their inspection without taking them to the workshop
- You need each vehicle's reading history and a log of every access
- Your fleet mixes 12 V vans and 24 V trucks
Which Diaglana device covers it, and its limits
- ECO-LITE
- One per vehicle, in the OBD socket. 12 and 24 V, CAN, CAN FD, DoIP, K-Line and J1939. It sleeps while the vehicle is parked and wakes on bus traffic or the button.
- The Diaglana platform
- Vehicles, devices, reading history and access log in a single account, on the web and in the app.
- Limits
- It connects over Wi-Fi (up to 5 stored networks: the depot or the driver's phone); it isn't a tracker and has no mobile data. Every session is authorized by someone next to the vehicle, with the button.
For fleet managers
What you get
- A first remote assessment when a warning light comes on during a trip, before moving the vehicle.
- Each vehicle's reading history, to see how a fault evolves.
- A log of every access: who read which vehicle, when and why.
- Devices and vehicles in one account, with 12 V vans and 24 V trucks.
How it works
- An ECO-LITE in each vehicle's OBD socket, connected to the depot's Wi-Fi or the driver's phone.
- When something fails, the driver asks for assistance or your workshop opens the session from the platform.
- The driver authorizes it with the device's button; without that press nothing is read.
- Your workshop reads the vehicle and gives you the report to decide: carry on, a service function or go to the workshop.
Privacy and consent
- Each remote session is authorized by whoever is in the vehicle, with the device's button.
- Every access is logged and can be checked in the platform's privacy center.
- If your employees drive the vehicles, tell them about the device and cover it in your privacy policy.
Questions from professionals about this
What does remote diagnostics save a fleet?
Where the savings of remote diagnostics in a fleet come from (shop trips, downtime, parts), what it costs and how to measure it in your case, with no inflated figures.
How do you roll out remote diagnostics in a fleet?
Devices per vehicle, depot Wi-Fi, a trusted shop, informed drivers and vehicles that join and leave: how to get remote diagnostics running in a fleet.
How often should the vehicles in a fleet be checked?
Manufacturer maintenance, periodic inspections, code scans and warnings on the road: how to organize fleet checks without taking vehicles off the road more than needed.
What data from a company vehicle can the fleet manager see, and what not?
What a fleet organization sees in Diaglana (vehicles, devices, authorized scans) and what it does not: no location with the ECO-LITE, button-approved sessions, logged access.
How can a delivery fleet avoid particulate filter and DEF (AdBlue) faults?
Short trips, stops and idling punish the particulate filter and the DEF (AdBlue) system. What to watch, what to tell drivers and when to scan the vehicles.
How can you help a customer who is stuck on the road, remotely?
What a repair shop can do remotely when a customer breaks down: what it takes, how to open the session over the driver's phone and when they must stop, no matter what.
For repair shops and professionals: frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need one ECO-LITE per vehicle?
Yes: the device stays in the vehicle's OBD socket. The fleet account brings them all together.
Who authorizes the session if the driver is on the road?
The driver, by pressing the button on the device when the workshop opens the session. Without that press, nothing happens.
Does it work as telematics or a tracker?
No. ECO-LITE is a diagnostic device: it has no GPS or mobile data and connects when a known Wi-Fi network is available.
Does it work with trucks?
Yes, at 12 and 24 V, with J1939. If the truck has no 16-pin J1962 socket, you need an adapter cable; ask us.
