Reading a vehicle and sharing the report
Faults, inspection readiness, live data and control unit identification.
Where: Remote sessions › Diagnostics › Read vehicle
- Choose the ECO-LITE connected to the vehicle and what you want to read.
- Wait for the reading to finish. With the engine running the reading still happens and the report says so.
- Review the report: fault codes with their system, inspection readiness, live data, control units found and checks of VIN, mileage and recent clears.
- If needed, clear the faults (you are asked to confirm and it is recorded) and compare before and after with a second reading.
- Generate the report for the customer. It is signed and carries a QR to check it is genuine.
Each vehicle's history keeps its previous readings. In a personal account, My device › Diagnostics shows what your unit can read from your car: live values and fault codes.
