Attaching fault codes to a work order
Copy the codes of a read into the order, with their explanation, for the quote and the report.

Where: Remote sessions › Workshop › Work orders and calendar › open the order (also in the app)
- In the order, expand “Attach the codes of a read”.
- In “Read”, choose the read: it appears with its date, the vehicle and how many codes it has.
- Press “Attach”. You see “Codes attached to the order.”
- Under “Fault codes” the order shows each code with its status, the control unit, the format and the count, and the line “Read of … · attached by …”.
- Your workshop's finished reads with codes from the last 30 days are offered (up to 50).
- Each read can be attached only once per order and an order holds at most 256 codes.
- Only on planned, in-progress or on-hold orders.
- It is done by whoever works on the order (the assigned person or whoever manages orders) and can see diagnostic reads.
| Message | What to do |
|---|---|
| That read is already attached to the order. | No need to do it again. |
| The order already has the maximum of 256 codes. | Open another order for the rest of the job. |
| We couldn't find that read, or it has no codes. | Choose another read or do a new one. |
Tip: The codes are copied exactly as the unit read them. The description comes from the diagnostic library and is indicative.
