How do you hand ECO-LITE to a customer, and what if they change shops?

How is it registered and handed over?

Scan the “Add to account” QR code on the label or type the 16-character registration code under Tools › Add a unit; a second factor is required. Then, in “Customer hand-overs”, choose the device and enter the customer's email, or create an account for them and send them the invitation.

Until the customer accepts it, the hand-over shows as “Pending” and you can cancel it.

What does the customer do when they receive it?

They accept the hand-over in their account, link the device to their vehicle, plug it in and connect it to their Wi-Fi with the QR code on the label. If they park the car somewhere else, they add another network by holding the button for 6 seconds; up to 5 are stored.

They can give access to the vehicle's other drivers, and if they lose the label they see the Wi-Fi code and its QR code in their account.

What if they sell the car or no longer need it?

They return it from their account with “Return to the workshop” and give the reason; then they hand it to you in person and you can use it again. Holding the button for 20 seconds forgets every stored network.

In a fleet, the device is unplugged and moved to another vehicle, or transferred to another organization.

And if the customer changes shops?

They can do it from “Your workshop” in their account. Each organization sets the rules and, if the change has a cost, the customer sees it before confirming.

The device does not tie the customer to a shop: the service is what keeps them.

The devices are in pre-production or presale: figures may be adjusted after validating the first units. Whether a given tool, program or make works depends on that tool, program or make.
