Customers, consent and billing
How can you help a customer who is stuck on the road, remotely?
If the car has ECO-LITE, the driver shares their phone's connection, asks for help and authorizes the session with the button; the shop reads the trouble codes and live data and decides whether the car can make it to the shop or needs a tow. Without the device installed, without a known network or without battery power in the vehicle, there is no session.

What does it take to help remotely?
ECO-LITE must already be in the car and in the customer's account, plus a Wi-Fi network the device knows. On the road that is usually the driver's phone hotspot: ideally, save it among the device's 5 networks on the day it is installed, so it is ready when needed.
The device is powered by the vehicle: with the car's battery dead, there is no session.
How is the session opened?
The driver turns on their phone's hotspot and asks for help from the app (Remote assistance › Ask for help), describing what happened, or calls you and your shop opens the session. The device beeps and flashes blue and the driver presses the button to authorize it.
With the session open, the shop reads the trouble codes and live data, and can ask for photos through the request's conversation.
What can the shop decide from afar?
Whether the warning allows driving on carefully to the shop, whether a service function is enough or whether the car should not move. With the reading in front of you, you also know which part to order before it arrives.
Some warnings always mean stopping: oil pressure, engine temperature, brakes or a flashing check engine light. In those cases, nothing read remotely changes the decision.
What can't be done remotely?
Anything that needs hands on the car: replacing a part, looking for a leak or measuring beyond the OBD port. Nor can anything be done without a network.
If the car does not answer the reading, the ignition may be off or that ECU may not answer over OBD: the driver can turn the ignition on and try again.
The devices are in pre-production or presale: figures may be adjusted after validating the first units. Whether a given tool, program or make works depends on that tool, program or make.
The devices to do it
ECO-LITE installed in advance is what makes it possible to handle a warning on the road, with the driver's phone as Wi-Fi and their press of the button.
ECO-LITE · Presale price: €129 · US$129. No subscription.
Presale: no stock and no delivery date yet. Reserve your unit in the shop.
Frequently asked questions
Does it work without Wi-Fi?
No. ECO-LITE needs a known network; on the road, the driver's phone. Save it among its 5 networks when you install the device.
Can I clear the code so they can keep going?
Clearing does not fix anything: if the cause remains, the ECU logs it again. With oil, temperature or brake warnings, or a flashing light, the driver must stop.
Does it work for fleet vehicles?
Yes, it is the typical fleet case: the driver authorizes the session and the shop provides the report to decide whether it continues, whether a service function is enough or whether it goes to the shop.
