The unit's Wi-Fi code: viewing it, changing it and WPA3

Where: Tools › Tools (in a personal account, My device) › “Wi-Fi code” next to the unit

The setup code protects the unit's own network, the one it opens so you can tell it which Wi-Fi to join. It is printed on the label and stored encrypted on the platform.

1. Viewing the code

1. Press “Wi-Fi code” next to the unit and confirm your identity with the second factor.
2. You see the unit's network, the code and the same QR as the label. Press “Copy the code” if you need it.
3. Hold the unit's button for 6 seconds (cyan light) and scan the QR with another phone, or join the network with the code.

2. Changing the code

1. In the same window, press “Change the code”. Only the owner and whoever manages the unit can do it.
2. You see “Change requested”. The unit generates a new code the next time it connects to the platform.
3. Open “Wi-Fi code” again to see the new code. From then on the one on the label no longer works.

• The unit only uses the new code once the platform has stored it; if it restarts halfway, it tries again.
• If you request another change before it is applied, it replaces the previous one.
• It works on ECO-LITE and ECO-LITE TOOL. In the app, “Wi-Fi code” in the unit's details shows the code; to change it, “Change the code on the web” opens this screen on the web.

3. For advanced users: WPA3 and older phones

• The setup network works in WPA2/WPA3 transition mode: phones with WPA3 join with WPA3 and older ones with WPA2. You don't have to choose anything.
• At most 2 devices can join at once. The network closes after 15 minutes without use.
• If an older phone does not join, try another phone or a laptop. If you don't have another one, write to support.

Tip: Change it if you sell the car, if the unit goes to another person or if you think someone has seen the label.
