Authorized drivers: sharing your vehicles
Let your partner, a relative or whoever drives your car see its status with their own account, without being able to change anything.

Where: My vehicles › Authorized drivers
Only the holder of a personal account can invite. You can have up to 5 drivers or pending invitations at a time.
1. Inviting a driver
- Press “Invite a driver”.
- What they see: tick the vehicles and units you want to share and press “Next”.
- Location and duration: decide whether to share the approximate location (off by default) and whether the access has “No end date” or lasts “Until a given day”.
- How to invite: choose “With a link or a QR code” or “By email” and, if you like, a name to recognize them.
- Press “Invite” and confirm it is you with two-step verification.
With a link you see the link and the QR code only once: copy it or show it to the person. By email, only someone who signs in with that same address can accept it. The invitation expires after 7 days and works once.
2. What the driver can do
- See the status of the vehicle and of its unit: whether it is online and when it last connected.
- See the last reading: warning lamp, fault codes and battery voltage.
- See the vehicle's open alerts.
- See the approximate location (country and an area of about 11 km), only if you shared it.
Important: The driver can never write to the vehicle, clear faults, open remote sessions, change unit settings or pay. They do not enter your account either: they see everything from their own.
3. Accepting an invitation (if you are the one invited)
- Open the link or scan the QR code and press “See the invitation”.
- Sign in with your Diaglana account or create one.
- In My vehicles › Vehicles shared with you, check what is shared and press “Accept”.
- Press “See status” whenever you want to check it. To stop seeing it, press “Give up”.
4. Removing the access and seeing the activity
- “Remove access” cuts it at once and the person gets a notice. A pending invitation is cancelled with “Cancel invitation”.
- In “Driver activity” you see when you invited, when they accepted, when they looked at your vehicles (at most once an hour) and when it ended.
- To change the vehicles, the location or the date, remove the access and send a new invitation.
Tip: If you want a workshop to work on your car, do not make it a driver: use Remote assistance or choose your workshop in My vehicles.
