Setting up the ECOPRO Gen4
Connections, power, adding it to your account, remote stop and what is still in development.

Important: The ECOPRO Gen4 is at prototype stage: its diagnosis and write functions are not released yet. This guide describes the planned setup and what the platform already offers; it will grow with each validation.
1. Connections
| Connector | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Vehicle port (DB-44) | Connects to the vehicle with the DB-44 to OBD cable, always included. There are cables for trucks and ISOBUS (9- and 6-pin Deutsch), universal probes and the bench. |
| Female OBD socket | To plug in your workshop's diagnostic tool and work through the ECOPRO Gen4. |
| USB-C | Power over USB Power Delivery and connection to the PC. |
| Accessory port | For additional modules (Pro version only). |
2. Power
- It is powered by the vehicle through pin 16 of the OBD connector and detects by itself whether it is 12 or 24 V; it can also be powered over USB-C.
- It warns if the voltage drops below 11.5 V (23 V on 24 V) and protects itself below 9 V (18 V). Cranking the engine does not cut it.
- Programming requires a stable 12.5 V (25 V on 24 V) or a connected charger. The thresholds are set by the Hub and reach the unit signed.
3. Adding it and keeping an eye on it
- Add it to your account in Tools › Add a unit with the 16-character claim code, like any other unit (guide “Adding a unit to your account”).
- In the unit's details you see its version and the “Remote stop of the unit” panel.
- “Stop” halts what it is doing; “Emergency stop” (with confirmation) also cuts an ECU programming. The result shows as applied, not applied or unknown: if unknown, check on site.
4. Pro and Base versions
Both use the same board. The Pro can act as a network's main unit and accepts accessories; the Base cannot, and has fewer automotive Ethernet ports.
5. What is not available yet
- The unit's own diagnosis, ECU writing and programming: disabled until validated.
- Local PassThru over USB, ISOBUS and DoIP in the diagnosis application: in development.
- Connecting to the workshop network and the meaning of the lights will be explained here once the unit is released.
Tip: The remote stop does not replace the physical emergency stop of the machine or the bench.
