Where: Tools
1. Wi-Fi setup code
- In “Tools”, press “Wi-Fi code” next to the unit and confirm your identity.
- You will see the network, the code and the same QR as on the label.
- If you think someone else knows the code, press “Change the code” and confirm it. The unit creates a new one the next time it connects and the one on the label stops working.
2. Profiles and functions
- “What to change” assigns a read profile or turns a function on or off. The change is queued until the unit connects, and the reason is recorded.
- Profiles are prepared in Tools › OBD profiles; the diagnosis options guide explains each value.
3. Powering the ECO-LITE TOOL
- “Supply 12 V” is the usual choice for cars and vans.
- 24 V only with 24 V vehicles: you will see a special warning and will have to confirm it.
- “Switch off” cuts the power to your diagnostic tool.
4. PassThru from the workshop PC
| Setting | What to choose |
|---|---|
| Use | “From this panel” to send frames by hand; “Diagnostic program on the PC (J2534)” for your diagnostic program. |
| Request and response identifier | The control unit's, in hexadecimal (for example 7E0 and 7E8), and different from each other. |
| Identifier type | 11 bits on cars; 29 bits on trucks and buses (J1939). |
| Retire a PC | If you no longer use it. To use it again it must be paired again. |
5. Handovers and returns
- When handing a unit over, say whether your customer already has an account or you create one. They will have to accept the handover.
- When giving it back, the customer gives the reason; they no longer see it and it is unlinked from the vehicle.
Tip: To connect the PC step by step, see the PassThru guide; programs using D-PDU or RP1210 have their own guide.
