The community

Threads, profiles, following, reporting and what is public.

Where: “Community” button, top right

  • In the feed, photos are shown full width: swipe to go from one to the next and double-tap to “Like”; the paper plane shares the thread's link. More posts load as you scroll down. On a profile, posts are shown as a grid: tap one to open it and move to the next by swiping or with the arrows. In “Search”, before you type anything, “Explore” shows the latest posts, and experts have a “Services” tab with their prices and “Hire”.
  • “Following” shows your posts and those of the people you follow; “For you”, threads on your specialties and brands and from people your contacts follow; “Recent”, everything by date.
  • In “Experts” you discover technicians and experts by specialty, brand, language, country and availability, with their price if they are marketplace experts (ratings only come from completed services). In “Search” you find people by name, @username, brand or specialty, and threads by their text.
  • To post, write in the box, add photos if you like and press “Post”. Photos are optimized on your device before they are uploaded.
  • From someone's profile you can follow them, block them or report the profile. If you block someone, you stop following each other, you will not see their threads and they cannot reply to you.
  • If the team removes one of your posts or suspends your profile, we tell you why. If you disagree, press "Appeal the decision" (on the post or on your profile's notice) within the following six months: a different person of the team from the one who decided reviews it and we tell you the outcome. If you reported something and the report was dismissed, you can appeal in the same way from "My reports", at the bottom of the community page.
  • In “Edit profile” you choose your name, your username (@username; we tell you right away if it is free), a (square) photo and a cover, a few lines about you, your specialties, brands, vehicles and languages, your city and country (never your address), links, whether your organization is shown and who can see your profile: only people with a Diaglana account or everyone. The preview shows how others will see you. If you are an expert, you can mark yourself “Available now” for a few hours.
  • As on Twitter: with the circular arrows you repost a post (your followers will see it) or quote it with your comment; with the bookmark you save it to read later in “Saved” (only you see it). Type @username to mention someone (we let them know) and #hashtag so it shows on that hashtag's page. With “+” you chain several parts into a thread, and what you write is kept as a draft on your device until you post it.
  • “For you” ranks the last 14 days by who you follow, what it shares with your “About” (specialties, brands and languages), its replies and likes, and how recent it is, and each post says why it shows; we don't use what you read or where you are. You can filter the feeds by language. In “Search”, “Trending” shows the hashtags most people use in 24 hours or 7 days in your language.
  • As on Instagram: you can add a short video (MP4, up to 20 seconds) with the photos. Experts and workshops (those who show their organization on their profile) post stories that show for 24 hours at the top of the feed, and can keep them in their profile's “Highlights”. On a profile, the “Photos” tab gathers the posts with photos or video.

Important: Photos must not show number plates, chassis numbers (VIN), faces or customer data.

Tip: If your profile is public, your threads can also be seen without signing in on diaglana.com and in search engines. Published experts are always public.
